Bottle Depots in Nanaimo

In Nanaimo, recycling bottles and cans is an important part of the community’s effort to reduce waste and preserve the environment.

Not long ago, a deposit value of 10 cents has been implemented on all containers, which means that people can now earn money for each bottle they return. Additionally, milk containers can now be returned for a refund, which is a great incentive for people to recycle even more.

With these new changes, it’s easier than ever for people in Nanaimo to do their part for the environment and make a positive impact on their community. By recycling bottles, we can help reduce landfill waste, conserve resources, and protect our natural environment for future generations.

When arriving at the depot, please sort your containers in the carts provided. Separate/sort containers by material (plastic, metal, glass), alcohol vs non-alcohol, and by size (over 1l separate).
